Universal Orlando's Guest Profile
Universal Orlando is the second most popular attraction among Orlando visitors and receives a broad cross-section of local, domestic and international visitors. Because the park caters to so many different audiences (families with young kids, families with older kids, young adults, unmarried couples, teens) through a wide variety of content including theme park attractions, night clubs, a movie multiplex, restaurants, and more it is possible to find just about any mainstream market segment at Universal depending on your specific location within the resort.
Universal's penetration of both Florida residents and tourists is among the highest of any Central Florida attraction, destination or shopping venue. And given Orlando's place as one of the most popular vacation destinations for families, there is nowhere else in the world you can go to reach so many different kinds of people in one place...at one time.
In addition to guests within the park, the Universal Orlando Research Services team has an extensive list of consumers living in Central Florida who have expressed an interest in participating in research projects. We can also reach into other areas of Florida as required.
Universal's Field Research Team
The Universal Orlando field research team is among the most well-trained and carefully supervised in the business. Interviewers receive a significant amount of training before they are allowed into the field as well as regular refreshers. There are multiple levels of redundant supervision and quotas are carefully monitored on a daily basis. Our team of interviewers is solely focused on what they do (they don't also, for example, serve as guest service employees, ticket sellers or ride attendants) and most of them have hundreds if not thousands of hours of field experience.
Types of Research
Universal offers a variety of different facilities for on-site guest research, ranging from large function rooms located in the hotels to small conference rooms and function rooms located within the park itself. Depending on the type of project, the possibilities are endless! Straightforward polls and computer kiosk-based surveys can be conducted right inside the park - near the exits, near the rides, or near the exits.
There are some limitations and requirements in terms of food-related testing, although such projects are within the realm of possibility. Given the nature of our venue, we will tend to give priority to projects that are more interesting, appealing or entertaining to our guests, although exceptions can absolutely be offset through incentives. If you have a specific project in mind, please don't hesitate to contact us to find out what types of opportunities are available.
Computer Kiosk-Based Research
Universal Orlando has a number of touch-screen computer kiosks and tablets which can be used to administer your research, either as self-administered surveys (complete with multimedia presentations, video, and audio) or as interviewer administered projects. The software platform we use for our computer surveys is exceptionally friendly from the guest perspective and allows us to ask just about any question in almost any way you can define. Can can of course use your equipment if what we have does not meet your needs, and if preferred we can connect directly to the Internet to accommodate web-based surveys.
Interviewer Administered Surveys
The Universal Orlando field research team can conduct one-on-one and one-on-many (families) to your specification. Our interviewers among the most well-trained in the business, and are carefully supervised at all times (audio-recorded interviews are also available).
